Problem: Develop
an infinitely adjustable support, the basic design of which would apply
to office furniture, automotive accessory components and well-drilling
equipment, etc.
Solution: Special machines handled this problem nicely. At Diversico, even
the building of a special machine can save the customer money over conventional
production methods. In this case, Diversico produced a formed thread
in the outer tube with integral supports through the thread. This provided
a great increase in columnar strength and a $28,000 savings to the customer.
